Service is not Key

You would think that a new restaurant to the area that boasts a family place would be on key and attentive as far as service right? Wrong! Not at the Monster. Our waitress was slow not very attentive and forgetful. The food was so so. My wife had the Ahi Tuna the wasabe however was delightful. They have a huge menu to choose from. The visit would and could have been better if the service was on key. Nice environment.

There are 5 points on a star I wouldn't give this establishment the satisfaction of one point. My date and I walked in last Thursday night Valentines day. The hostess moved us from one dining room to another with arcades. Not very romantic, I ordered a combo platter, the mozzerella sticks were cold in the middle, the potatoe skins were way to salty, to say the least. My date ordered the Monster Bleu NY Strip, way to much gorgonzola for her liking, I ordered the prime rib, it was very very fatty. We told our waitress she was very appoligetic to us, and told us that she would let the chef know our concerns. She offered to comp us dessert my date and I declined. This place doesn't seem to be all it's cracked up to be. Very dissappointed.

I have to disagree with some of the previous reviews. My boyfriend and I went for a quick bite and really enjoyed ourselves!! The food was good, and the service was awesome. Its huge in there, and the fireplace is wonderful. I loved the sporty/tavern ambiance. There was a dj, and the server said there will be live bands on weekends. We will be back there soon! Definatley a great place to be that is close to home and away from the huge and obnoxious crowds that seem to be downtown latley.

Impressive food and choices. The food menu is huge and the beer selection is tremendous (180 types of beer 30 Tap) The food was excellent and the service was great. The NEW owner Gabe introduced himself and was truly concerned about making our visit a good one. I will tell all of my friends about Monster B's. The band was great.
I will be back!!!

If you have not heard there are over 100 micro brews in the house and you need to get here and try them because there are to many flavors to try and remember wed is $3 HEINEKENS my favorite night .

I don't understand the two reviews below!!! I have been to Monster B's 3 times since opening, all 3 times ordering different items and all 3 times being very impressed with the food!! The desserts are amazing, I reccommend the Creme Brulee, the menu is huge, and the amount of beers to choose from is absurd. If you get the chance check them out, the enviroment is great as well as the food.

i have been coming to the monster for a few weeks now and there is no place better than this if you want good service. The bartenders are friendly energetic and the beer is cold.

It's a shame that Monster B's service and food is below average, because the layout and ambience is nice. They have a large menu with lots of choices... but it seems like there is little regard to living up to the 'hype' if you will. Avoid... and don't believe the hype. They've already had two owners there in the past year alone. Maybe the third one will be the charm. Try one of the many other good family restaurants in the Glenbrook/Springdale area instead.

My husband and I ordered takeout from Monster B's one evening and I've never been so disappointed. I got no wasabi dressing for my rare tuna salad (kinda hard to eat it without that). We got no guacamole or sour cream for our nachos and there was barely any chili. And the buns on our hot sandwiches were cold. As a stamford restaurant owner myself I called just to let them know. I thought they would offer to make up for it somehow. I spoke with Juan who did nothing of the sort. He said he'd address it...whatever...horrible food, horrible customer service.
