Yes, there are a handful of other Irish-styled pubs in Mystic, but Harp & Hound is the premier choice as far as authenticity is concerned. The owner—right off the boat himself—good-naturedly serves up pints of Guinness and plates of Shepherd's Pie to an easygoing crowd. The menu items—mostly standard pub grub—range in price from $5-$6, but the real draw of the joint is the pint and the welcoming atmosphere in which to enjoy it.
