An unforgettable night of drinking, mingling and, of course, art.
July's creative cocktail hour features the opening of an exhibition titled “The Parlor Paintings” by emerging artist Margaret Murphy. Murphy paints portraits of mass-produced female figurines she at dollar stores, on eBay and from other sources, In her portraits, she examines the contradiction in female values represented by blonde haired "good girl" versus dark haired "bad girl" figurines.
Paintings by Sam McKinniss, video installation work by David Politzer and sculptures by Corinne Rae Beardsley will be on display in RAW's main gallery.
