Great gallery. We wanted six pictures by top name French artists. The owners helped us, worked with us, and even reframed four of the pictures. Original art seems harder to find as many galleries have shut down.A delightful gallery with great art and nice people.

I love this aquarium!! I take my kids here all the time and love how clean, comfortable, child-friendly, educational and convenient it is! It is located close to Old Mistik Village, the Steak Loft, and Equinox Diner (a new diner in the area which I went to today and will be reviewing next). This is the perfect place for a day trip with friends, family, or even for some alone time! I love all the exhibits and how widespread and vast they each are. I will most definitely continue to recommend it and return!

I've been to the Quarry 2 times last summer. Once with my own daughters, just to "check it out" and then back again with my daughter's friends. We rented a float, brought a picnic lunch, and had a great time. We are planning to go back again this summer. It's wonderful fun and requires physical work, so the kids get exercise while they have fun!

DON'T BOTHER! Went three times, they closed early all three days. Thanks for the gas and time I spent to take my new wife to what she has been talking about. Closed at 5:56pm when the exhibit says 8pm, is classy. I will never go back to this exhibit and stick to the ones at mohegan sun, at least they deliver.

Finding the Richard Douglass House is not a hard task. if driving or walking down Bank Street look behind the Bulkely House and there she is. An 18th century jewel actually surrounded by other 18th and 19th century houses on a somewhat cozy sidestreet where redevelopment has forgetten with the exceptions of the hammer and saw of the local entrepreneur whom has painstakingling restored house and building one after another. A nice little cape dating to 1801. Just stopping by looking and seeing what the Douglass is about is enough to throw you back to the 18th century. Nice stop and easy to find. Bank Street to Golden Street - Straight fwd until Green ST and there she is!

Cool Gallery!
Songbird commented on St. Patrick's Day parade trash...
Hi MMF and MAB, Thank you for your feedback on our gallery. We appreciate your interest in our site and our photographs. We are a Web site geared at the college-age and working professional demographic, and as such don't design our content with children and families in mind. This gallery from 2009 was designed to show the lighthearted atmosphere of the crowds along the route, and was not a journalistic look at the actual participants in the parade. However, we also have covered the 2008 and 2009 Max O'Hartford 5K races, where our photos are primarily of race participants, and we also have covered the noble aspirations of New Haven's "Green Team" to reduce the environmental impact of the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. If you take the breadth of our content into consideration, you will see that we try to provide a variety of perspectives on these popular regional events. Thank you again for your feedback.

Agree with previous post - the parade was a lot more than just a bunch of drunk people wearing silly hats.
shamrocklover commented on 2009 New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade
Great photos of the celebrating crowd, but only about 4 or 5 shots of the people in the parade. Why is that?

I'll do that...thanks a lot! :-)

These pics are great! Fun event for sure & excited for next year :-) How can I get a .pdf or .img copy of this photo? (#22 of 46)? Thanks Jennifer

You have 2 photos of people in the parade and 73 pictures of people drinking. I was hoping to see participants IN the parade: bands, floats, marching units, etc.. These pitures are nothing I'd want my children to see.

Nice job Maggie! I had no idea there was an indoor spa/resort in CT, nor a Lazer Tag joint in Waterford. Is that new?
