Dirty Dozen Brass Band Returns with a Pair of CT Shows This Weekend
It's been 25 years since the Dirty Dozen Brass Band released its landmark debut, "My Feet Can't Fail Me Now." Though the album has been out of print for quite some time, the legendary New Orleans band is celebrating with a three-week tour and plans for a digital re-release via Topspin.
Two of the 19 shows on that tour happen in Connecticut this weekend. On Friday, the band plays the Fairfield Theater Company's StageOne with New England blues band the Delta Generators. On Sunday, they return play Infinity Hall in Norfolk. Expect to see the album performed in its entirety–from Dirty Dozen live staples like "Blackbird Special" to long-forgotten tracks “I Ate Up the Apple Tree” and “Mary Mary”–at both shows.
