East Rock West Rock Wraps This Weekend

There are only a few days left to catch a show that's part of East Rock West Rock–the first crack at a "New Haven Music Week" leading up to CMJ in New York City–but there are plenty of solid acts still on the docket. Tonight, you can catch Tip the Van heading up a ska/reggae mega-bill at the Space in Hamden or Bitch and her band, the Exciting Conclusion, at Cafe Nine. If cover bands are more your style, cover-kings Darik & the Funbags are at Toad's. Saturday night's action is surprisingly light, though you can catch some CT-bred alt-rock with Murdervan at Cafe Nine, or local acoustic act Katie Wilson's CD release party at the Space. Sunday night, New Found Glory closes the action down in style at Toad's.
