- 94 West Wharf Road

- Price range: $$$ ($16-$25)
Connecticut waterside dining usually provides one of two distinct atmospheres—the sophisticated meal of expensive lobsters and glasses of wine, or the casual meal with fish and chips and frosty brews. The Madison Beach Hotel has both. If you are looking for a more formal dining experience, The Wharf at Madison Beach Hotel is right up your alley. The dining area is roomy with large windows looking out on Long Island Sound. A huge mural of sand dunes and blue sky covers the walls in the main dining room and seashells clasp the curtains together, giving the room a quaint feeling of summer. The menu includes various pasta, seafood, steak and chicken dishes ranging from $15-$30, while the Crows Nest Lounge, located in the upstairs area of the hotel, has a completely different vibe, with a menu geared more towards sandwiches, salads and burgers.
