When the wooden shutters at Harry's come up and the stand opens each spring, locals know that the warm weather has arrived, and they flock to the 80-year-old establishment for plates of famous burgers, hot dogs, fries, ice cream cones and shakes. There's a sort of assembly-line-in-a-shambles effect when placing orders at Harry's. The whole process creates a frenzied thrill; it's like being on the floor at the New York Stock Exchange. But the place is clean, and you can watch them cook and still want to eat afterwards, which is good.

Its a summertime ritual that Ive been doing for here for forty years. You park the car, walk up to the counter, tell em what you want, wait around...
