Alta Strada, the new Italian restaurant at Foxwoods' MGM Grand, shows no allegiance to a single region of Italy. Celebrity chef Michael Schlow's culinary philosophy is to let his menu travel through the regions based on cooking styles and availability of seasonal produce. Alta Strada offers different menus in different areas of the restaurant to produce different dining experiences. The front of the house features a wine bar and cafe that serves casual fare like pizza, salads and shared antipasti. The fine-dining area has been designed with many levels and has a theatrical feeling, as the open kitchen acts like a culinary stage.
