Sapporo Japanese Restaurant

Like its namesake city in Japan, Sapporo Restaurant does an admirable job making the best of its remote locale in a deserted strip mall in Wethersfield. There's a large-screen TV at the back showing the Japanese equivalent of MTV. This alone is almost worth a visit. The menu is full of starters—miso soup, pork soup, lobster soup, seaweed salad, fried dumplings and barbecued duck. Though unremarkable, the sushi is quite good.
