As befits a restaurant specializing in food from the country that brought us the potato, the durable, versatile and filling tubers crop up again and again on the menu at Piolin. But this Peruvian restaurant in Hartford, not far from Trinity College, does more with spuds than just fry them. And while English may not be spoken much at Piolin, there are English menus. If you don't speak Spanish and are not an adventurous eater, you might want to seek out a menu you can read, otherwise you may end up eating one of the dishes with odd organ meats.
