Abigail Pettibone's ghost was said to haunt the upstairs of the locally famous Pettibone Tavern, a refurbished 18th century inn and restaurant that operated under various forms until a fire shut it down last January. A year later—and several months after new owners reopened the local landmark as Abigail's Grille & Wine Bar—not even the threat of her wandering ghost could scare hungry patrons away from the hyped new hangout that is her namesake.
