In a town already bursting at the seams with first-class eateries competing for your dime and dinner reservation on nearly every corner, West Hartford was certainly not hurting for yet another one—but it appears to have found one in the recently opened Rizzuto’s Wood-Fired Kitchen & Bar.

With a philosophy built around serving quality food in a comfortable setting, an unpretentious menu that mines the authentic old-world Italian recipes that owner Bill Rizzuto grew up with, a wood-fired oven to maximize flavor, and attentive, knowledgeable servers happy to steer you in the right direction, it shouldn’t take long for the Blue Back Square branch of Rizzuto’s to rival the original Bethel location’s popularity.
