Wood-n-Tap has done it again. The increasingly popular Connecticut restaurant chain opened its fifth installment in Vernon in mid-December, and it has all the ingredients for a good time. Chances are, you or someone you know has at least heard of the Wood-n-Tap, and someone’s put in a good word about its bar selection, food or friendly vibe.
According to the Wood-n-Tap Web site, the restaurant group has tried to create a place where everyone feels like they belong, and this local bar and eatery sure has nailed it. The Vernon location is a fun place to get together, have a drink and chow down on pretty much anything you've got a hankering for—from a big, comforting burger or heaping pile of wings to a healthy meal of grilled salmon or swordfish.
