Barça, the newest tapas spot in Hartford just off Park Street, might be easy to miss if not for a large, bright yellow and red sign announcing its existence in the Design Center. Drivers rolling through Parkville should—despite the spotty service—heed the beckoning sign, for it leads to a happy place with vivacious décor and lively dishes and drinks.
The menu offers a long list of cold or hot tapas, salads and a few main courses. The dishes along with the drinks and dessert are, of course, drawn from Spanish cuisine. But flavors from Portugal, Mexico and Brazil have seeped into the menu.
