Housed in a former movie theater on Old Saybrook's Main Street, Liv's Oyster Bar is the brainchild of John and Kristine Brescio. John Brescio is a French Culinary Institute-trained chef who worked at Tavern on the Green and Judson Grill in New York City as well as Aux Delices in Greenwich. Not surprisingly, the menu is seafood-centric at Liv's, with a motto to keep things "simple and seasonal" whenever possible, but the house burger also comes highly recommended for carnivores.
