An unassuming barbecue joint, the flavors—not to mention the portions—at Little Taste of Texas are anything but abbreviated. Owner Dan Bell, a Houston native, has brought his own distinctive, authentic brand of slow-smoked Texas barbecue to Connecticut. Bell won’t tell anyone what’s in his secret spice rub—but the taste alone speaks for itself. This is dry-rubbed, slow-roasted (sometimes for up to 14 hours), hearty Texas style barbecue for folks who have a hankering for big portions and bold flavors.
