The owners Bret and Cassandra Gardner know what they are doing when it comes to good barbecue, whether it is their pulled pork Carolina-style, with a vinegar bite, or BBQ style, all molasses and honey sweetness, or their rotisserie beef, marinade-infused and fork-tender. Cassandra spends hours roasting and then slow-cooking the pork before pulling it and adding her own secret-recipe sauces. The beef is also babied, and again, the end result would make any cook south of the MasonDixon line proud. But for those who have a different taste, Pit Stop also serves hot dogs, hamburgers, homemade soups and salads, chili and stew as well as an assortment of more traditional sandwiches.
