From the road, the view of the humble brick building doesn't really do it justice. Because of the fine bit of local manufacturing heritage—it was a paper mill back in the day— the large main room downstairs, with its wonderfully worn wood floors and pieces of old wrought–iron machinery hanging on the walls, achieves that genuine sense of old folksiness that restaurants like Cracker Barrel spend thousands of dollars striving to emulate.
