The Hawthorne Inn underwent renovations in 2005, the same year it celebrated its 60th anniversary, and the result was a restaurant that added to its elegance while preserving its history. That history is on dispay in the impressive lounge, which is accented along its edges by bookshelves and old books. In the dining area, expect white tablecoths and experienced servers. The surf and turf menu is enough to make your mouth water, and the prime rib is a standout, famous around the state.
