Burger Heaven
I love burgers. I mean real, meaty, juicy, sizzling burgers where the taste of the meat is clear but so is the taste of all the other ingredients topping it off. Here are a few places in Connecticut that have not disappointed my burger cravings.

Corey's Catsup & Mustard: A Burger Bar -
623 Main St. - Manchester
Report this commentThere is nothing disappointing about this restaurant. Try the San Francisco and chipotle burgers. Deelish!

Red Robin -
360 Buckland Hills Drive - Manchester (Buckland Hills)
Report this commentI know, I know - it's a chain restaurant, but the extensive and creative burger list should keep this place from getting such a bad rap. I love the burger with the over-easy egg on top. A lot of cholesterol, but I don't mind.

Plan B Burger Bar & Tavern -
138 Park Ave. - West Hartford
Report this commentThe handmade and well-seasoned chicken and beef patties are worth the wait. The place is almost always packed but you leave full and happy. My favorite is the three-burger combo platter with a flight of beer tastings and the parmesan fries. Yummy!

Geronimo -
271 Crown St. - New Haven (Theater District)
Report this commentA very cool and chic New Haven tequila bar and restaurant with the best and most innovative margarita menu I've ever seen and tasted. And it's got delicious burgers, including bison burger bites, each with a different flavor and condiment.

Ted's Montana Grill -
500 Evergreen Way - South Windsor
Report this commentEverything but the kitchen sink is such a cliched term, but man does it make a great burger. The phrase lends itself to the name of a burger with an egg, ham and cheese as just a few of the ingredients sitting atop the patty - either beef or bison - and everything just tastes so good together.
