Spring fun in the sun
There comes a time each year when the sun finally begins to shine and tulips push their way through the once frozen soil. Birds sing, bare toes twinkle with a fresh coat of jewel-toned paint and we know, without a doubt, that winter is over and it's time to get out in the fresh Connecticut spring air.

Connecticut offers an abundance of activities to fill a breezy spring day. From street cafés in swanky SoNo and delicious dining in West Hartford Center to window shopping at brand new Blue Back Square, the options seem nearly endless for those with disposable income. Yet what fun is to be had by the pennywise?

To recognize the return of warm weather, we've gathered up five ways to enjoy the fresh air in this sunny state of ours. And, best of all, they're all free.
